But from the very first moment they introduced Callie to Grey's Anatomy, I thought that she favored Izzie. And the more I watch it, the more I'm convinced that they resemble one another. They have similar smiles. I tried to find photographs where they are in similar positions, but I had no luck. Here are two photographs, though, for you to let me know what you think . . .

Anyway . . . they are both gorgeous! I'm so happy Sara joined the show because Callie's a great character. They have a lot to do to develop her, but I feel confident that they will write good copy for Callie. Looking forward to the rest of the season.

Yes, yes, yes. I agree! I have always said the same thing. I can see this is an old post from years ago. But, I am watching Sara Ramirez on Kelly and Michael this morning, and it is reminding of how much I think she looks like Katherine Hiegl. They have the exactly same face! cheeks, eyes, smile, eyebrows. DEFINITELY! If Sara lost weight and dyed her hair blonde, she would be a Katherine twin. And, I'm so glad you wrote this blog and I found it this morning. I said this to a friend years ago, and she couldn't see it. But I don't think it takes much imagination to see the huge resemblance. :)

Yes! I was so glad when I typed both of their names into Google the words "look alike" were already paired in an option underneath! The very second I saw Callie, I wondered if they tried to intentionally make the two look similar. I told my mom (she's a die hard Grey's fan), and she thought I was crazy, but as we watched a few episodes together in late season 2, I pointed things out, and she started to see it. I can't look at Callie without thinking of Izzie! The structure of their face and some mannerisms are so crazily similar. Anyway, I'm now on the first few episodes of season 3, and I want to see the two of them bond eventually,even if it's just briefly. Thanks for posting this and everyone commenting, so I know I'm not the only one who sees this!

Oh wow! This post was 12 years ago but I've just been introduced to Sara Ramirez in Madam Secretary this week and for the first day it stuck in my mind that she reminded me of someone but I couldn't figure out who. Finally yesterday I realised it was Katherine Heigl and today googled it, finding this post. BAM! Validation :)
Yes! Cyndy, I love that the comparison lives on! It's very clear to me. Maybe I should see if I can find updated photographs.
My gf really likes the show and I showed her this with just the Sara photo and the name covered she thought it was katherine
It's 2021 and I only started watching it this year ha ha. But I typed this into google to see if anyone else noticed it too! The colouring and background is obviously very different between the two but they have very similar bone structure, smiles and eyes.
